The standard Palatka house New Years Eve party turned out to be anything but standard. Airsoft gun Russian Roulette and some random MMA-styled grappling matches took place. I have to say winning two out of my three matches by choking out a couple of people I barely knew was a very interesting and fun way to start things off this year. The fact that one of the two guys were trained for that style of fighting makes me consider the possibilities of pursuing and interest in that a bit further.

Or then again that could just be the leftover alcohol talking.

In addition I also got a check in the mail for my work in on Pro. Opening up a 4 figure check is pretty damn awesome. All else I can say is that it's about god damn time to be getting steady payment on a game I've been working on since 2007.

Last 24 hours have been super legit. Rundown:

-Drive up to Eau Claire. Light casino stop on way. +$25.

-Meet CJ at mall. Real talk while waiting for Ashley to get off work.

-Tons of Ashley time. Dinner at Red Robin, Diet Coke + Mentos, reading and coffee, Paranormal Activity at the budget (while playing Rum and Coke on 3x hidden dark solo)

-Meet up with Nate and CJ at Morgan's. Car stuck in ice. Fix't. Tons of randoms. Chu is nuts. Very woozy Ashley.

-Back to CJ's with Ashley. Ashley out cold. Laura comes over. Epic wine-bottle-without-corkscrew opening failure. Roseanne. Blackjack.

-Power nap on couch. Breakfast at Altoona Family Restaurant with Ashley since she called in late to work this morning. Drop Ashley off. Return home.

I love msn. I love getting messages from people all over the place. Usually, not many people talk to me on there, sometimes it comes in waves. I have so many contacts on my list that it's hard for me to keep track of who is who, who I've talked to about what, where anyone is from. But every once and a while I get a message from an unfamiliar name, and it's someone from some crazy part of the world, and we just start talking, and I never really ask who they are or where they got my name from or why they care to talk to me but I always wonder. I usually assume that anyone messaging me has found me through PIU, but sometimes people just start having a normal conversation with me and I like those people a lot. This thought is brought to you by a dood from Scotland messaging me tonight.

Also I love facebook and tagging photos because now I've found 394085039485 people I met at WPF. Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mexico, Argentina, Korea. I love that.

I love the world I want to go everywhere this is unhealthy.

On a side note, I'm pretty confident that I have the ability to go anywhere and be content and happy in just about any situation. I've yet to decide whether this is a good or bad thing.

I'm thinking it's both.

One time I was sitting at a bar, having a beer, and minding my own business. These three girls walk in and sit down near me. I hear one ask the other two, "Where are all the good men at?" Now, at that very moment, I explode in the mother of all spontaneous sneezes, barely getting my hands up to my face in the process. Embarrassed (and knowing there is a pint of mucus now between my hands), I quickly jerk my hands away from my face and towards my pockets, leaving a long zip-line of mucus between my index fingers and nostrils in the process.

The girls all look at me, horrified, and I say, "I dunno."
